HTC One

Early in my blog I described my adventure installing CyanogenMod and as fate would have it I shattered my phone screen last night. It would not have been a big deal but being away at college without a phone is sin. I was at a cross roads. Do I wait it out and wait for the cheap upgrade from Verizon, do I bite the bullet and buy a new phone at full price or, do I go back to the latest working phone I had (a mid 2000s LG Dare). Luckily after calling Verizon I was given an early upgrade so I went with the HTC One.

I am more than pleased with this phone. It has an awesome specs!

Display: 4.7 inch, Full HD 1080p, 468 PPI
CPU: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600, quad-core, 1.7GHz
NFC, IR Blaster, Android 4.2.2

The coolest part of the phone beyond Android is the IR Blaster, in other words, a remote control (think TV remote). I have yet to find a TV that it cannot control. I am planning on rooting but have yet to decided on the method and I will be checking out HTC Dev, as this is my first HTC phone.
